The Idea

The Synova Wave Adipose Processing Device is the world’s fastest fat processing system. This breakthrough product offers a 3-minute cycle yielding twice as many stem cells as the industry-standard enzyme, collagenase. From the same sample of fat, cells derived from the Wave Device are also healthier and more uniform in size.

Having an extensive background in medical device development, Synova approached Pulse to work on this dynamic system and we were excited to participate! From concept development to CAD to the complex internal mechanical design, whose precision facilitates its advanced functionality. Pulse worked with Synova every step away! Now in deployment, Pulse also assisted in prototyping, packaging, and support graphic design.

A specialized and truly industry-changing program, the Wave Device is going to shift the way stem cell therapies can be administered. With every patient benefiting from this Pulse-designed system.

Pulse’s design expertise was also leveraged in the development of the on-product graphics that make the Wave Device easy to use while conforming to all agency regulations. Along with the industrial design of the product, Pulse created and prototyped all the on-product graphic labels providing branding from every angle. Packaging design for this product was also crucial to protect this precision calibrated machine during transit. Pulse developed a custom and tested packaging solution for every component in the system.
